What is the UQ Science Students Society?
The UQ Science Students Society, formerly the UQ Student Association of Science Societies, is the faculty-wide science club supporting science students of all disciplines.
Who are we?
We are all volunteers who study at UQ and are elected each year by the members to operate and govern the organisation. As current science students ourselves, we work closely with the faculty and the student body to deliver opportunities for social events, careers events, and events connecting with the wider science community.
What do we do?
As the de facto society for the Faculty of Science, we work to enhance the science student experience at UQ. We focus on three crucial aspects in order to do this – social events, careers events, and events to connect the community. From the Careers Fair to panel events, pub crawls to trivia nights, we do it all!
Why should I join the UQ Science Students Society?
Whether you are looking for a place to meet like-minded people, or want to make the most of your degree and experience our industry-related events, the UQ Science Students Society is for you!
